Prospero Teaching are working with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Manchester, seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their support team on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Graduate, Youth Worker, or Support Worker looking to gain valuable experience and make a positive impact within a secondary school environment.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
· Location: Manchester
· Position: Teaching Assistant
· Type of Work: Supporting teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4
· Start Date: Immediate
· Contract Type: Temporary with potential to become permanent
· Full-Time: Full Time
· Minimum Rate of Pay: GBP110 - GBP125 per day (depending on experience)
· Hours: 8:15am - 3:30pm

THE ROLE
· Provide classroom support to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
· Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions.
· Support students with additional learning needs and barriers to learning.
· Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and attendance.
· Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff.
· Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience working with children or young people is essential.
· Previous education, youth work, care, coaching, mentoring, or support work experience is desirable.
· Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not essential.
· Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
· Positive, proactive, and resilient attitude.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
· Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
· Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
· Provide two professional references covering the last two years.
