CAD Team Leader – Step into Engineering Leadership
Location: Ripley, Derbyshire
Working arrangement: Full-time, office-based
Are you an experienced CAD Engineer who's ready to take the next step, but hasn't yet had the opportunity to move into leadership?
This could be exactly the opportunity you've been waiting for.
We're recruiting for a well-established engineering business looking to appoint a CAD Team Leader as part of its continued growth.
You'll take responsibility for coordinating the day-to-day activities of a team of four CAD Engineers while continuing to remain hands-on with mechanical design.
Importantly, you don't need to have held a formal management position before.
The business is looking for an experienced CAD professional with strong technical knowledge, natural leadership qualities and the motivation to develop into a management role.
What you'll be doing
What makes this opportunity stand out?
You'll receive structured leadership development, with a potential progression route towards CAD Engineering Manager as the team grows.
The role includes a formal progression review after 12 months, or sooner if the team expands to five CAD Engineers. Progression will depend on performance and agreed objectives.
About you
You'll have at least 5 years' experience in mechanical CAD design, ideally at Senior CAD Engineer level, with experience checking drawings, mentoring colleagues and coordinating work across projects.
If you're ready to take your first step into engineering leadership without giving up the technical work you enjoy, I'd love to hear from you.
