Freelance Quantity Surveyor – Leeds Demolition & New Build Linear Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a project in Leeds on a freelance basis. The project involves the demolition of an existing factory, followed by the construction of a new-build facility on the site. The Role: Managing the commercial aspects of the project from start to completion. Preparing and managing cost plans, budgets and forecasts. Subcontractor procurement, valuations and payments. Managing variations, change control and contractual matters. Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks. Working closely with the site and project management teams. Ensuring accurate commercial reporting throughout the project. Requirements: Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry. Experience managing commercial packages on demolition and new-build projects would be advantageous. Strong knowledge of subcontractor procurement, valuations and cost control. Excellent commercial awareness and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage the commercial function effectively.
