Management Accountant, £45-55k, Woking with Hybrid + Parking

I’m recruiting for a commercially minded Management Accountant to play a pivotal role in supporting the long-term financial sustainability and success of a well-established organisation.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will work closely with senior leaders and budget holders across the organisation, providing high-quality financial information and analysis to support decision-making at all levels.

Combining strong technical accounting skills with a collaborative business partnering approach, you will help colleagues understand the story behind the numbers whilst supporting a range of strategic initiatives and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Produce insightful financial analysis and variance reporting.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making.
• Partner with budget holders and senior stakeholders across the organisation.
• Prepare financial reports, presentations and analysis for senior leadership.
• Support strategic projects and organisational development initiatives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems, controls, processes and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial and regulatory requirements.
• Line manage and support the development of the small Finance team.

About You

We're looking for an individual who combines strong analytical capability with excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach. You will ideally be:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified, part-qualified, or QBE able to demonstrate significant relevant management accounting experience.
• Experienced in preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced reporting and financial modelling.
• Able to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Comfortable influencing and challenging stakeholders constructively.
• Experienced in managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Committed to delivering the highest standards of accuracy, professionalism and integrity.

Desirable Experience

• Sage 200 experience.
• Experience within a complex, multi-stakeholder organisation.
• Experience working within a regulated environment.
