Job Description

• Set up and operate specialist linear TIG/GTAW welding equipment, following established procedures and production requirements
• Produce accurate, high-quality welds on thin-gauge materials and IGT components, working to tight dimensional and quality standards
• Read and understand engineering drawings, weld symbols and manufacturing instructions to ensure components are produced correctly
• Prepare, position and securely fixture components before welding, making sure alignment and dimensions are maintained throughout the process
• Carry out visual checks on completed welds, identify any issues or defects, complete relevant paperwork and maintain accurate production and material traceability

Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a TIG Welder, ideally within aerospace, engineering or another regulated manufacturing environment
• Experience working with thin-gauge materials and producing accurate, precision welds to a high standard
• Confident reading engineering drawings, weld symbols and technical instructions
• Strong attention to detail with a right-first-time approach and a genuine focus on quality
• Reliable and organised with good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
