Hays are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a major civil engineering framework delivering a portfolio of six infrastructure projects across Bristol and the surrounding area.This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a strong civil engineering background to take ownership of multiple schemes, working closely with senior stakeholders, local authorities, commercial teams and delivery partners across a diverse programme of works.
The RoleReporting directly to the Senior Contracts Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of projects from early-stage investigations through to detailed design and delivery. You'll work alongside an established Project Manager and lead a team including an Agent and Engineer.Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the delivery of multiple civil engineering projects across the framework.
• Coordinating pre-construction activities, investigations and site surveys.
• Overseeing trial hole and ground investigation works carried out by framework teams.
• Managing project interfaces with commercial teams, surveyors, contractors and specialist suppliers.
• Supporting tendering, contract administration and project governance activities.
• Reviewing RAMS, method statements and Health & Safety documentation.
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Acting as the primary contact for local authorities, including Bristol City Council and highways stakeholders.
• Ensuring effective stakeholder engagement on projects within busy urban environments.

What We're Looking ForTo be considered, you'll ideally have:

• Proven experience managing civil engineering projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience leading multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously.
• A solid understanding of construction methodologies, project delivery and Health & Safety requirements.
• The ability to manage a wide range of project interfaces and stakeholders.

Desirable Experience

• Shafts and tunnelling projects.
• Water, utilities or highways infrastructure schemes.
• Experience delivering projects in urban environments with significant public and stakeholder interaction.
