Secondary English Teacher – Sheffield | Birley Academy The Supply Register | Flexible Supply Teaching | Immediate Opportunities The Supply Register is working in partnership with Birley Academy in Sheffield to recruit a passionate and experienced Secondary English Teacher to support the school on a flexible supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified English Teacher looking for flexible teaching work within a supportive secondary school environment. We are looking for teachers with strong subject knowledge who can deliver engaging English lessons and help students develop their reading, writing and analytical skills across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4 Plan and adapt lessons to meet different learning needs Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and engagement Assess student progress, mark work and provide constructive feedback Create a positive and inclusive learning environment Work collaboratively with the English department Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification Previous experience teaching English at secondary level Strong knowledge of the secondary English curriculum Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities Strong communication and organisational skills Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one Why Work with The Supply Register?
