Management Accountant – Newly Qualified

East Hertfordshire | £50,000–£60,000 + Up to 10% Bonus | Permanent

I am partnering with an established and successful business in East Hertfordshire to recruit a recently qualified Management Accountant to join its finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for either a first-time mover from accountancy practice or a recently qualified accountant already working in industry who is looking to broaden their commercial exposure and develop their career.

Working closely with an experienced Management Accountant and wider finance team, you'll gain exposure to management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and business partnering across a multi-site operation.

The Role:

- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts.

- Analyse gross margins, overheads and branch performance, providing meaningful commercial insight.

- Partner with the Purchasing team on supplier agreements and rebate arrangements.

- Take ownership of customer rebate reporting and analysis.

- Support internal and external audit requirements.

- Maintain lease reporting and assist with financial controls.

- Contribute to finance projects, process improvements and wider business initiatives.

About You:

- Recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.

- Either a first-time mover from a reasonably sized accountancy practice or industry-trained within a business selling physical products, such as distribution, wholesale, retail or manufacturing.

- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability.

- Commercially minded, proactive and confident communicating with stakeholders.

- Keen to develop broader management accounting and business partnering experience.

- Experience with Hyperion HFM would be advantageous but is not essential.
