My client is the London Subsidiary of a Global Bank.

Primary Duties:

• Conduct and record proper Due diligence of the promoters/guarantors/companies in respect of newly mobilised loans.
• Preparation of Credit Appraisal Notes by undertaking detailed analysis & appraisal of loan application pertaining to Real Estate (CRE & Residential) & Corporate Credit including restructuring / extension proposals and obtain risk sign off within defined TAT.
• Timely completion of reviews/renewals as Appraiser, including obtaining risk sign off from the Risk Department within defined TAT.
• Maintenance of proper credit related MIS including loan master file maintenance, LGD, etc.
• Post sanction of monitoring of the assigned loan portfolio on an ongoing basis.
• Assisting Head of Corporate Lending in achieving Budgeted growth in advances.

Pre-Sanction Duties:

• Carrying out Due Diligence on Credit Proposals assigned using various tools and resources as defined in the loan policy and credit procedure document including ensuring compliance of KYC/AML checks.
• Updating of periodical due diligence reports as per Loan Policy /Credit Procedure Manual /PRA guidelines.
• Obtaining data/information from customers for assessment and processing of the proposals.
• Interacting with Key Officials in the borrowing units for obtaining data/statement etc.
• Obtain and verify the World Check/CIFAS reports of the borrower/legal & valuation reports of properties offered as Primary/Collateral securities.
• Arranging for compilation/updating of opinion reports and CIRs.
• Undertaking pre and post sanction visits.
• Appraising of credit proposals and Risk Manager’s Note (RMN) replies.
• Tracking and monitoring important developments in the industries / activities in which borrowers operate / have interest.
• Arranging for Experian / Credit reports and their scrutiny, wherever required.
• Obtaining and Scrutinising external credit rating of the customers.
• Credit related notes like RMN replies / any other deviations, concession etc. or non-business proposals to competent authorities.
• Ensuring ABS considered for the proposals are the same as filed with Company House.

Providing support to the Head of Corporate Lending for making presentation of credit proposals to the sanctioning authority.

Post Sanction:

• Preparation of Sanction letter and ensure that all the Terms & Conditions of sanction have been incorporated therein.
• Periodic review of Financial Statements/Compliance Certificate/Other relevant document for ongoing credit monitoring.
• Rectifying irregularities pertaining to pre-sanction pointed out in various Audit reports.
• Attending to the credit related correspondence with internal and external agencies.
• Periodical review of TLs sanctioned on Syndication/Bilateral basis.
• Periodical inspections as per the instructions of Head Corporate Lending.

Miscellaneous:

• Keep himself/herself abreast of key market updates especially in the area of banking, finance and economy including real estate market of UK.
• Empanelment of Solicitor and Valuers/Surveyors and their annual reviews.
• Tracking and monitoring important developments in the industries / activities in which borrowers operate / have interest
• Creation, maintenance and updating of loan master file as per format devised by the Head of Corporate Lending.
• Any other job/task relating to dispensation or administration of credit or any other specific task of any nature arising out of business or administrative exigencies or even otherwise under instruction of Chief Manager / Manager (Credit) / Relationship Manager / Branch Head.

The activities mentioned above are illustrative only and Assistant Manager - Credit is primarily responsible for all activities as directed by Head Of Corporate Lending / MD & CEO from time to time.

Profile Requirement:

• Post Qualification experience of minimum 5 years in Real Estate Underwriting (including CRE & Residential) & Corporate Credit is a must. Experience should be in credit appraisal / assessment of Credit proposals of medium/large Corporates.

Qualifications:

• Graduate (any discipline) MBA (Finance) / PGDBA / PGDBM / CA / CFA / ICWA
