Composites Technician

An established engineering business is looking for a Composites Technician to support the manufacture and development of components for demanding aerospace and space applications.

You’ll work across a range of practical manufacturing activities, helping produce, inspect and test composite components. The role would suit someone with composites experience who takes pride in accurate, high-quality work and is comfortable following technical drawings and procedures.

What you’ll be doing

• Preparing tooling, materials and consumables for manufacture
• Producing composite components using appropriate manufacturing methods
• Supporting processes such as moulding, lay-up, curing and machining
• Reading engineering drawings and following work instructions
• Operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment
• Inspecting and measuring parts against drawings and specifications
• Recording work in line with quality procedures
• Supporting engineering and manufacturing projects
• Following health and safety requirements

What we’re looking for

• A recognised Level 3 Engineering qualification
• Experience working with composite materials
• The ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Good attention to detail and a careful approach to quality
• Familiarity with workshop safety and manufacturing procedures
• A practical, reliable approach and willingness to work as part of a team

The role is based in Farnborough and offers a pension scheme and 20 days’ holiday, plus bank holidays. Salary will depend on relevant experience and qualifications.
