The Role

As an Accounts Assistant, you'll be involved in a broad range of finance activities, gaining exposure across transactional accounting, banking, reconciliations and purchase ledger. This is a hands-on position that would suit someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems and ensuring financial records are maintained accurately.

Key responsibilities include:

• Processing incoming receipts and payments, ensuring accurate posting and allocation of transactions.
• Administering electronic banking transactions, including BACS and CHAPS payments.
• Performing daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Maintaining client and office account records with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Processing invoices and supporting the purchase ledger function.
• Managing direct debits, standing orders and financial journals.
• Reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies.
• Processing card payments and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Supporting month-end processes and audit preparation.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers regarding financial matters.
