Butler Rose is exclusively recruiting a Senior Finance Manager for a growing, privately owned business in mid Devon. Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the senior leadership team, this is a broad and commercially focused role that offers significant exposure across the organisation and a clear route for future progression.

The Role

As Senior Finance Manager, you will lead day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, robust controls and meaningful commercial insight to support business performance and strategic decision-making.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working across both financial and operational matters in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.
• Own the budgeting, forecasting and cash flow processes.
• Deliver accurate and timely management reporting.
• Strengthen financial controls and governance across the business.
• Partner with operational managers and department heads to support commercial objectives.
• Provide financial analysis and insight to aid decision making.
• Support business planning, growth initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

About You

You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with:

• Previous experience in a finance leadership role.
• Strong technical accounting and financial management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• A highly organised approach with exceptional attention to detail.
• The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
