The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist to support a busy hospital pharmacy service in Moray. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacist seeking a locum assignment within a supportive multidisciplinary environment, where you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and medicines optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy services across inpatient wards.
• Perform medicines reconciliation and clinical medication reviews.
• Support safe and effective prescribing through expert pharmaceutical advice.
• Work closely with doctors, nurses and allied healthcare professionals as part of the multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in ward rounds and patient reviews.
• Monitor medication therapies and recommend interventions where required.
• Support discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Promote medicines optimisation and cost-effective prescribing.
• Assist with audits, service improvement initiatives and governance activities.

Essential Criteria

• MPharm Degree (or equivalent).
• Current GPhC registration.
• Previous clinical pharmacy experience.
• Strong knowledge of medicines optimisation and pharmaceutical care.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.

Desirable

• Hospital pharmacy experience.
• Postgraduate Clinical Pharmacy qualification.
• Independent Prescriber qualification.
• Previous NHS experience.
