Our client, a well-established manufacturing business, is looking for a Management Accountant to take ownership of the management accounts, drive process improvements as part of a finance transformation programme, grow their career, and thrive in a supportive environment that values unique contributions and rewards exceptional performance.

Key responsibilities of the Management Accountant:

• Take ownership of the month-end close and management accounts.
• Prepare journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Complete group reporting submissions accurately and on time.
• Prepare VAT returns.
• Support audit and tax requirements.
• Partner with operational managers across the business to understand financial performance and key business drivers.
• Contribute to finance transformation, including system improvements and future ERP implementation work.
• Support reporting design, controls and process enhancements.
• Challenge the status quo and drive efficiencies within the finance function.

Key essentials of the Management Accountant:

• ACCA or CIMA qualified, or part-qualified and approaching qualification
• Experience of month-end processes, ideally with some ownership
• Interest in, or exposure to, process improvement or systems projects
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
