The Opportunity
BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager to join its Sheffield team on an initial 12-month contract.
You will lead external communications and marketing campaigns to strengthen brand awareness, support business growth and enhance stakeholder engagement within the Weapon Systems UK business unit.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver strategic marketing and external communications campaigns.
Manage media relations, press releases and executive communications.
Lead digital and social media content, advertising, exhibitions and events.
Build relationships with external stakeholders, media and industry partners.
Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Ensure communications meet corporate brand guidelines and messaging.
Provide strategic advice and coordinate communications across teams.
Support crisis communications, change management and reputation management.
Essential Skills and Experience
Proven experience in marketing, communications or external affairs.
Strong content creation and campaign management skills.
Experience managing media relations and stakeholder engagement.
Excellent written communication, organisation and project management skills.
Ability to influence stakeholders and work independently.
Experience measuring campaign performance and delivering results.
Degree, equivalent qualification or relevant experience in a related discipline.
Desirable: Defence or engineering sector experience.
