Our thriving client based on the outskirts of Ware is looking for a Key Account Manager to join their family run business. This is a full-time role working full-time onsite in their offices based on the outskirts of Ware (8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday) and offers a generous salary of £32,500 - £35,000 basic depending on experience, plus a fantastic commission structure and other excellent benefits, which could increase your salary substantially. Our client also offers a company yearly bonus scheme and other bonuses including loyalty and quarterly bonuses based on revenue.

Due to the location of our client and limited public transport, candidates must have their own mode of transport

Key Responsibilities Include:

Sales Support Management:

• Manage and delegate Sales Support's inbox and daily workload
• Full accountability for correspondence sent under their name by Sales Support
• Early warning to Key Account Team Leader on any downward trend in an account
• Sign off routine quotes prepared by Sales Support; escalate tenders and all pricing decisions to Key Account Team Leader

Account Management:

• Full use and oversight of CRM, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information across the team.
• Reactive telephone contact with customers to respond to queries and maintain relationships.
• Occasional welfare calls to existing and lapsed customers to maintain relationships and identify opportunities.
• Supporting the ASM with negotiations and account strategy to grow and protect key accounts.
• Tracking customer spend to identify concerns and growth opportunities
• Overseeing the sales pipeline, ensuring Sales Support updates CRM and records won/lost opportunities daily.
• Quality-checking sales administration to ensure customer records and pricing are accurate and up to date.
• Liaising with Customer Service and Operations to resolve escalated order queries and complaints.
• Reviewing and signing off Special Signs and BOMs, with pricing decisions remaining with the Key Account Team Leader.

Skills/Experience:

• Previous experience managing or supervising a team, ideally remote / offshore
• Previous experience of CRM systems
• Previous experience in a Key Account / Account Management role
• Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Enthusiasm for sales and account growth
• Ability to prioritise workload to maximise effective use of time
• Team Player - good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Confident reviewing and correcting written customer correspondence before it goes out
