Payroll Specialist

Location: Acton, West London

Pay Rate: £19.00 per hour

Contract: Temporary (3 Months) - Sickness Absence Cover

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Start Date: ASAP

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Specialist to join a small and friendly team based in Acton. This is a temporary 3-month assignment covering a period of sickness absence and would suit an experienced payroll professional who can hit the ground running.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting payroll operations, pension reporting, invoicing and general payroll administration whilst ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing payroll accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Preparing and submitting pension reports.
• Producing regular payroll and management reports.
• Raising and processing invoices.
• Maintaining payroll records and employee files.
• Managing payroll-related administration and filing.
• Updating employee records on Sage 50.
• Assisting with payroll queries from employees and management.
• Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with payroll legislation.
• Providing general administrative support to the wider team as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a Payroll Specialist, Payroll Administrator or similar role.
• Experience using Sage 50.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and pension administration.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good administrative and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Available to start immediately or at short notice.
