Collections Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Collections Advisor with excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner to join a busy and supportive team in Basingstoke. This role is ideal for someone with a background in collections or customer service who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining positive customer relationships.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Monitor new and existing arrears cases, proactively chasing outstanding balances via telephone, email, and written correspondence.
• Manage high-value and higher-risk arrears cases to minimise potential losses.
• Investigate and resolve arrears caused by administrative errors, escalating issues where necessary.
• Work closely with internal teams to identify and resolve partner-related issues impacting collections.
• Respond promptly and accurately to customer and internal enquiries regarding arrears cases.
• Maintain accurate records and provide updates on case progress.
• Ensure all collection activities are completed in line with company processes and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience within a Collections, Credit Control, or Customer Service environment.
• A confident and professional telephone manner.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• The ability to prioritise workload effectively within a busy office environment.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work additional hours when required.
