Our client is seeking a Highway Asset Engineer to join its City Operations Asset Management team on a contract basis. The role will support the development and delivery of highway maintenance programmes, providing technical input and design approvals across major infrastructure projects, including HS2, metro schemes and external developments. Key Responsibilities: Supporting the development of highway asset maintenance programmes Providing technical engineering input across a range of highway projects Reviewing and approving designs in line with relevant standards and requirements Contributing to highway asset management activities and maintenance planning Supporting projects associated with HS2, metro schemes and external developments Working collaboratively with project teams, contractors and other stakeholders Ensuring highway engineering solutions are practical, compliant and effectively delivered Job Requirements: Experience in highway engineering and highway asset management Understanding of highway maintenance programmes and asset management principles Knowledge of design review and approval processes Ability to provide clear technical advice and engineering input Strong understanding of relevant highway standards and industry best practice Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills Ability to work effectively within a City Operations or infrastructure environment Contract Details: Contract position Duration of approximately 10 months Expected start date in December If you are a Highway Asset Engineer with experience in highway maintenance and asset management, this is an excellent opportunity to support significant infrastructure and development projects.
