We are looking for an Accountant to join our Client in their established and growing Accountancy Practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional to work with a varied portfolio of clients, develop their technical knowledge and play an important role within a supportive and professional team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
• Completing personal tax returns and self-assessments
• Managing a portfolio of clients and building strong working relationships
• Providing clients with accounting support and resolving queries
• Assisting with bookkeeping and management accounts where required
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within deadlines
• Keeping up to date with accounting regulations and relevant legislation
• Supporting the wider team with ad hoc duties as required

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
• Experience preparing accounts for a variety of clients
• Good knowledge of accounts preparation, VAT and taxation
• AAT qualified, part-qualified or studying towards ACA/ACCA would be advantageous
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and client management abilities
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
