SEN Tutor - Southend Position: SEN Specialist Outreach Tutor Location: Southend Hours: Flexible, 0-40 hours per week Pay: Competitive, depending on experience and qualifications Contract: Ongoing opportunities Make Learning Accessible for Every Student Remedy Tutors is recruiting compassionate and adaptable SEN Outreach Tutors to provide personalised education to children and young people with additional needs. You may support students with autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, dyslexia, anxiety, communication difficulties or other barriers to learning. Some students may struggle to attend school or benefit from tuition delivered outside a traditional classroom environment. You'll provide tailored one-to-one tuition, adapting lessons and building a positive relationship that helps each student engage with learning and develop their confidence. Key Responsibilities Deliver personalised tuition in both Maths and English. Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual SEN and learning needs. Use clear explanations, manageable tasks and structured lessons. Encourage engagement and help students overcome barriers to learning. Build trusting relationships and promote confidence and independence. Monitor progress and work towards agreed educational goals. Essential Requirements Ability to teach Maths and English. A patient, flexible and supportive approach. Experience working with children or young people. SEN/SEND or outreach experience is desirable. Benefits Competitive rates of pay.
