Developing Confident Young Learners

• A KS1 Teacher will deliver structured phonics and early reading alongside practical mathematics and engaging writing lessons.
• The KS1 Teacher will use observations and formative assessment to plan the next steps for each pupil.
• As a KS1 Teacher, you will adapt teaching for children with SEND and differing language development needs.
• A skilled KS1 Teacher will encourage independence through warm, consistent routines and clear classroom boundaries.
• Work with families, phase colleagues and support staff to promote attendance, wellbeing and steady progress.

What We're Looking For in a KS1 Teacher

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential for a KS1 Teacher.
• Experience teaching or training in Year 1 or Year 2, with confident phonics knowledge.
• Ability to plan inclusive lessons, assess learning and maintain positive behaviour.
• Patience, professionalism, dependable communication and safeguarding awareness.
