Data Cabling Engineer Swindon Permanent - Full-time 8 hour shift, Overtime, Night shift, Monday – Friday We are currently recruiting for a Data Cabling Engineer to join our client based in Swindon to work with the installations and planning department. The Role: * Work from construction drawings, reading job diagrams, scopes, and specifications. * Installations of network and structured cabling (Cat5/5e/6 & Fibre) * Termination of cables on patch panels and modules * Testing with Fluke Testers * Maintaining Quality standards whilst meeting agreed timescales * Reporting on progress and issues affecting the work * Working safely at all times in accordance with Health & Safety policies * Diagnose and rectify faults. * Interacting with clients The Requirements: * 5+ Years' experience within installation of telecommunications * Installation of structured cabling systems * Working knowledge of CCTV and door access (not essential but desirable) * Ability to carry out basic Fluke testing of copper Cat5/6 & Fibre * Have flexibility around working hours, including night work and overtime * Willing to work within different locations over the UK including staying away * Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure paying good attention to detail * Self-motivated and able to take initiative, self-manage workload without supervision * CSCS (or equivalent) * Driving license The Benefits: * Competitive salary * Company pension * Company van * Excellent overtime rates * Annual leave plus public holidays * On-going training and career progression * Social events * Sick pay
