Production Shift Manager Cambridgeshire £38,000 - £40,000 Most Shift Manager adverts promise “progression” and “an exciting environment”. Then you join and it’s the same firefighting, the same targets, and nobody really cares how you get there. This one’s a bit different. It’s a food manufacturer that’s grown fast over the last few years and isn’t slowing down. They’ve got big plans for the site, and they’re realistic ones. What they need now is a Shift Manager who can take a team and make it better. Not just keep the line running, but actually raise the standard. You’ll work alongside the Site Lead and own the performance of your shift. That means training and developing your people, holding them to the KPIs, and spotting where things could run better. If you’ve got ideas, they want to hear them. If you’ve delivered CI or Lean improvements before, even better, because you’ll get the chance to do it again here and see it stick. Who it suits You’re already a Production Shift Manager, Section Manager or Production Manager in food manufacturing, and you manage a team. You know what good looks like on a shop floor and you’ve got the people skills to get a team there with you. You understand the basics of CI and Lean, and you can point to a project where you made a real difference. Who it probably doesn’t suit If you want a quiet shift and a predictable routine, this isn’t it. It’s fast paced and they’re growing, so things will change. If that sounds like hard work rather than a good thing, it’s probably not for you. If it does sound like your kind of place, give Tom a call at The Collective Network on (phone number removed) for an informal, confidential chat. Or apply below and he’ll be in touch
