Your new role

The Strategic Propositions Manager is responsible for developing customer propositions and pricing strategies that drive customer acquisition, growth and retention. The role combines customer insight, market analysis and commercial thinking to create compelling, differentiated propositions that are ready for market. It leads proposition and pricing development from identifying opportunities through to recommendation and launch handover, working collaboratively across the business to align stakeholders around the customer offer and commercial approach.

• Create and refine customer propositions that support business growth and customer engagement objectives.
• Clearly define target audiences, customer challenges, value propositions and key differentiators.
• Validate concepts through research, stakeholder engagement and market analysis before progressing to implementation.
• Conduct market and customer research to identify unmet needs, behavioural trends, retention challenges and commercial opportunities.
• Evaluate pricing strategies, competitor activity and market positioning to identify opportunities for competitive advantage.
• Use customer behaviour, market intelligence and commercial performance data to support pricing recommendations.
• Develop pricing frameworks and commercial models that balance customer value with revenue and profitability objectives.
• Assess the potential impact, risks and trade-offs of pricing decisions and present recommendations to key stakeholders.
• Translate research and analysis into clear business cases, recommendations and proposition briefs.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to assess feasibility, customer impact, commercial value and implementation considerations.

What you'll need to succeed

• Analytical and financial skills to assess how pricing choices affect revenue, margin and customer behaviour.
• This role would suit a person from the Telecoms, Utilities or Financial Services sector.
