Interim Commercial Finance Manager

£425–£500 per day (Inside IR35)

6-Month Interim Contract

Guildford, Surrey – Hybrid Working (3 Days Per Week in Office)

We're supporting a well-established, international FMCG business that is looking to appoint an experienced Interim Commercial Finance Manager for an initial six-month contract.

This is a highly commercial, hands-on role within a fast-paced, consumer-focused environment. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, providing financial insight, challenging performance and helping drive better commercial decisions.

We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, understands the dynamics of an FMCG business and is comfortable balancing detailed financial analysis with genuine business partnering.

The Role

Working as part of the wider Finance team, you'll take ownership of key commercial finance activities, supporting business performance, forecasting and financial planning.

The role will involve partnering with commercial and operational teams to understand the numbers, identify risks and opportunities, and turn financial information into clear, actionable insight.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a key Finance Business Partner to commercial and operational stakeholders
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across key business areas
• Analyse revenue, gross margin, pricing, profitability and operating costs
• Provide commercial insight into business performance, highlighting risks and opportunities
• Support month-end reporting, variance analysis and management information
• Partner with Sales, Marketing and wider business teams to support commercial decisions
• Build financial models and business cases to evaluate commercial initiatives and investments
• Improve reporting, processes and financial visibility across the business

What We're Looking For

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong commercial finance experience
• Previous experience within FMCG, consumer goods or a product-led business
• Strong background in Finance Business Partnering, FP&A or Commercial Finance
• Excellent understanding of revenue, margin, pricing and profitability
• Confident managing budgets, forecasts and commercial performance analysis
• Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling skills
• Comfortable partnering with and challenging senior commercial stakeholders
• Proactive, commercially minded and able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
