Lead Quality Inspector Rotherham Circa £18-£20 per hour Overview EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer, located in Rotherham, that is currently in the market for a Senior Quality Inspector to join their company on a permanent basis. This market leader is a well-established name within the precision engineering industries, with a long history of supporting globally recognised customers with safety-critical, detailed components. Due to internal changes and continued success, our client is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Inspector to take a leading role in the inspection team, act as the technical go-to, and support the running of their Integrated Management System. What’s in it for you? * Stability: join a business going through significant growth, with long-term career prospects * Pay: £18 to £20 per hour, plus a departmental performance bonus of up to 7.5% of salary * Hours: 38 per week, days only, with an early finish on Friday * 33 days annual leave * Free car parking and a staff canteen with free food and hot drinks * Free counselling, mental health first aiders and social activities Your responsibilities will include * Leading the day-to-day inspection activity and giving technical guidance to the team * Mentoring a growing inspection team and building a culture of continuous improvement and right first time quality * Acting as the primary technical expert, applying manufacturing and engineering knowledge to complex projects and quality requirements * Working closely with the technical engineering department, making quality decisions on your own and knowing when to escalate * Supporting site improvement activities and keeping compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate * Proven experience in a quality inspection department within precision engineering or advanced manufacturing * Inspection using manual measuring equipment * Confidence identifying non-conforming product * An understanding of how precision components are manufactured (metallic, composite, resin or plastics) * Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9000 quality systems, including producing FAIRs and ISIRs and coordinating corrective action investigations * Strong verbal and written communication with internal and external audiences * Confidence, self-motivation and the ability to lead and problem-solve within the team If you are interested in the Senior Quality Inspector opportunity and believe you meet the criteria above, apply today to join our client’s growing team in Rotherham.
