Finance Manager | Outskirts of Maidstone, Office Based | Paying £50k - £55k DOE

We are partnering with a privately-owned construction client who are recruiting for a Finance Manager to join their Kent team. This role suits an accounting professional with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience managing both financial reporting and payroll-related processes. You’ll play a key part in the business being the main point of contact for finance, working closely with commercial teams to ensure the business is operating as efficiently as possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Sending company invoices
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and financial reports.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, AP, and AR.
• Manage journal postings, general ledger maintenance, and manage month-end close.
• Maintain prepayment and accrual schedules, fixed asset records, lease assets, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Provide weekly, quarterly and annual cashflow reports
• Support VAT returns, payroll-related payments (PAYE/NIC/CIS), and other statutory submissions.
• Work closely with leadership to confirm overheads, review financial data, and support annual rate reviews.
• Provide payroll support for PAYE employees.

The Ideal Candidate

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified – candidates will be considered who are part-qualified or qualified by experience
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
• Confident working independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of accuracy and ability to multitask effectively.
