SEN Teaching Assistant Required in Havering - Immediate Opportunities

Remedy Education is looking for a motivated and supportive SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a school in Havering. We are seeking someone who is passionate about helping children with special educational needs access learning, build confidence and achieve their individual goals.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced teaching assistant or someone looking to develop their career in special educational needs education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to pupils with SEN.

• Assist pupils with autism, ADHD, moderate learning difficulties and communication needs.

• Support classroom learning and help pupils access the curriculum.

• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

• Support pupils with SEMH needs, including emotional regulation and social development.

• Help prepare learning resources and adapt activities to individual abilities.

• Work alongside teachers and the SENCO to implement appropriate support strategies.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Experience supporting children or young people is advantageous.

• A caring, patient and flexible attitude.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations.

• A genuine interest in SEN and inclusive education.
