Finance Assistant - Audit

We're recruiting on behalf of an established international organisation for a Finance Assistant (Audit) to join their Plymouth based finance team, on a full-time, 12 month fixed term contract.

This is a varied role suited to an experienced finance professional with strong attention to detail and an interest in audit, financial controls and accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting and financial control systems.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Complete reconciliations, payment run audits and financial checks.
• Prepare payroll journals, accruals and intercompany recharges.
• Support creditor, debtor and supplier management.
• Audit supplier bank detail changes.
• Prepare ad hoc sales invoices and calculate interest on overdue accounts.
• Maintain and improve finance process documentation.
• Support procurement and customs processes.
• Provide general support to the wider Finance team and assist with ad hoc projects.

About You

• Previous accounting or finance experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting procedures and financial controls.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage priorities and work independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Good Microsoft Office 365 knowledge.
• Experience of working in a fast-paced or changing environment.
