Job Type: Freelance Start Date: Negotiable Industry: Construction / New Build Location: Billinghurst, West Sussex Salary & Package: Negotiable The Role & About the Client ITS Building People are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a new build care home project in Billinghurst, West Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager to join a construction project on a long-term basis, with an anticipated duration of 12 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards and programme. Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To: • Managing the day-to-day running of the construction site. • Coordinating subcontractors, trades and site operatives to ensure works are completed to programme. • Monitoring progress against the construction programme and addressing any delays. • Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications and quality standards. • Maintaining high standards of health and safety across the site. • Organising site resources, materials and deliveries to support the smooth running of the project. • Carrying out regular site inspections and monitoring workmanship. • Liaising with the project team, subcontractors and other relevant stakeholders. • Identifying and resolving site issues as they arise. • Maintaining accurate site records and ensuring relevant documentation is kept up to date. • Supporting the successful delivery of the new build care home through to completion. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: • Previous experience working as a Site Manager within the construction industry. • Experience managing new build construction projects. • Strong knowledge of site management, subcontractor coordination and construction sequencing. • A good understanding of health and safety regulations and site compliance. • SMSTS Certificate. • CSCS Card. • First Aid at Work. • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills. • The ability to manage site activities effectively and deliver works to programme. • A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining quality standards.
