About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our finance team. This role will play a key part in supporting business performance through accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support informed decision-making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports, providing clear insights into business performance.
Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts, including variance analysis and performance monitoring against financial targets.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining business objectives.
Provide financial guidance and analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
Support the continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and controls.
Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support effective financial management and reporting.
Provide support and guidance to finance team members where required.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Essential
Strong financial reporting and management accounting skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Ability to analyse financial data and present findings clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience using accounting software and financial management systems.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Experience within a manufacturing environment.
Desirable
Knowledge of standard costing and stock control processes.
Experience working with ERP systems, particularly AX or EFACS.
Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) or progress towards qualification.
Qualifications
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
Professional accounting qualifications such as CIMA or ACCA are valued but not essential where equivalent experience can be demonstrated.
