Accounts Semi Senior

Location: Rayleigh, Essex
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

An established and growing accountancy practice in Rayleigh is looking to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior to join their friendly and supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous practice experience who is looking to further develop their skills within a varied role, working closely with a broad portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Producing management accounts
• Completing bookkeeping duties and VAT returns
• Assisting with corporation tax computations
• Liaising directly with clients and responding to queries
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
• Supporting senior members of the team with ad hoc assignments

About You

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
• Experience preparing accounts for a range of clients
• Knowledge of bookkeeping and VAT returns
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
• A proactive and professional approach to client service
