Orka Financial is recruiting an International Finance Manager for a four-month assignment with an established global consumer-products business in Basingstoke. The role is offered on a hybrid basis, with three days each week in the office.

This is a hands-on controllership position supporting several international entities through year-end and the wider reporting cycle. You will help maintain a reliable control environment, keep accounting records audit-ready and work across finance and operational teams to resolve issues quickly.

The role

• Coordinate month-end activity, including journal review, reconciliations and close meetings.

• Support year-end delivery and act as a key contact for internal and external auditors.

• Maintain effective financial controls and contribute to SOX testing and improvement work.

• Prepare payroll accounting entries and reconciliations, supporting related statutory information where required.

• Produce cash-flow forecasts and review bank reconciliations for international entities.

• Help resolve finance-system issues and support testing and improvement projects.

• Guide junior colleagues and promote consistent, well-documented accounting processes.

• Work with finance, tax, treasury, legal, HR and commercial teams on cross-functional matters.

About you

• Qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent recognised qualification.

• Strong financial-control and year-end experience, including direct work with auditors.

• Practical knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and FRS 102.

• Experience gained in a multinational organisation or professional-services environment.

• Comfortable explaining technical accounting matters and operating with limited supervision.

• NetSuite experience would be useful, as would exposure to international statutory reporting and process improvement.

• You must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
