I'm working with a fast-paced food manufacturing business looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager to take ownership of its engineering function. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, leading from the front and building a team that can make a real difference. The business has some significant projects on the horizon, so alongside keeping the site running, you'll play a key role in improving engineering capability and delivering longer-term improvements. What you'll be doing: Building, developing and leading a strong engineering team Taking ownership of day-to-day maintenance across a busy manufacturing site Improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime Driving preventative maintenance and continuous improvement Supporting and delivering major engineering projects Working closely with production to improve performance and keep the site moving Developing a proactive, accountable engineering culture What I'm looking for: Experience in a Maintenance Manager or similar engineering leadership role within manufacturing A hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front Experience managing and developing engineering teams Strong maintenance, reliability and problem-solving skills The confidence to take ownership, challenge the status quo and drive improvements Food manufacturing experience would be advantageous If you're an engineering leader who wants more than just keeping the machines running, this could be worth a conversation.
