Field Service Engineer – Earthmoving / Heavy Plant Equipment Nottingham c£45k + Fantastic Company Benefits + Vehicle + Allowances Permanent I’m currently looking for experienced Field Service Engineers for one of the largest construction machine manufacturers in the world. Working across the UK, you will have strong electro-mechanical skills, carrying out effective inspection, repair and maintenance of all products within the company’s earthmoving division Key Responsibilities * On-Site Diagnostics & Repair - Rapidly identify and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults on a wide range of earthmoving machinery (excavators, loaders, crushers, and screeners) * Preventative Maintenance - Carry out routine machinery inspections and servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines. * System Troubleshooting - Work confidently with advanced machinery control systems, heavy hydraulics and engines * Customer Interfacing - Act as the face of the company on-site, offering technical guidance and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Ideal Requirements * Technical Qualifications - NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural Engineering, or an equivalent recognized engineering apprenticeship. * Industry Experience - A minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience working on modern heavy plant, construction, or earthmoving equipment. * Core Technical Competencies - Strong foundational knowledge of heavy hydraulics, electrical schematics, diagnostics software, and engines. * Independence & Flexibility - A self-motivated individual who can manage their own schedule and is willing to travel regionally. * Licences - A valid, clean UK driving licence is essential
