Your new role
As Procurement Officer, you will support the delivery of end-to-end procurement activity across a diverse portfolio of goods, services and works contracts. • Supporting procurement reporting, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Working with e-procurement and financial systems to support procurement delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience working within a public sector procurement environment.
  • Good working knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and public sector procurement regulations.
  • Experience managing end-to-end procurement and tendering activities.
  • Understanding of the full procurement life cycle, from sourcing strategy through to contract award.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using e-procurement platforms and procurement systems.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret procurement data and produce accurate reports.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • CIPS Level 4 (or equivalent procurement qualification), or currently working towards a recognised procurement qualification.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy procurement environment whilst maintaining attention to detail.

What you'll get in return

  • £225-250 per day - umbrella rate (Inside IR35).
  • 6-month contract.
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangement.
  • Office attendance required only 1-4 times per month.
  • Opportunity to gain experience across a broad range of procurement projects and categories.
