Catering Manager

• Hours: 7am to 3pm, Monday to Friday

We are recruiting for a Catering Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a school kitchen in Rochdale. This Catering Manager position would suit someone with previous experience in a similar role or a strong background in a catering environment. You will be responsible for leading the kitchen team, managing stock and budgets, and ensuring high standards of health and safety at all times. An immediate start is available.

Day-to-day of the role

• Oversee the daily running of the school kitchen and catering operation
• Manage and support the kitchen team to ensure an efficient service
• Ensure all food hygiene, safeguarding, and health and safety standards are met
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as required
• Manage kitchen budgets and help control costs effectively
• Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant working environment
• Ensure meals are prepared and served to the required standard
• Handle any day-to-day operational issues within the kitchen

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Catering Manager or within a similar catering setting
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety regulations
• Experience managing stock, ordering, and budget control
• Ability to lead a team and maintain standards in a busy kitchen
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• DBS on the update service is mandatory
• Ability to start immediately is desirable
