Your Role as a Supply Teacher

As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver learning during staff absence and help pupils continue their school day with clear routines and expectations.

• Teach prepared primary lessons and adapt explanations to support pupils' understanding.
• Manage the classroom in line with the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies.
• Work with teaching assistants and use relevant information about pupils' learning needs.
• Provide feedback on work completed and undertake planning or assessment agreed for the booking.

What We Are Looking For in a Supply Teacher

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, with primary teaching experience.
• A confident Supply Teacher with sound curriculum knowledge and effective classroom management.
• The ability to settle quickly into new school teams and communicate clearly.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one, alongside satisfactory safeguarding checks.
