A dedicated commercial insurance broker operating in partnership with a major national business association, providing tailored general insurance advice and solutions to small and medium enterprises across the UK.

Role Summary

This role offers an established insurance professional the opportunity to focus purely on warm commercial leads with zero cold calling. Backed by a steady stream of incoming member enquiries, you will enjoy a fast-paced trading environment where your conversion skills translate directly into healthy bonus potential, all while developing your commercial underwriting relationships across a broad SME product range.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage incoming commercial enquiries and follow up on pre-qualified outbound sales leads, giving you an active, warm pipeline to convert without any cold calling.
• Negotiate bespoke terms, pricing, and policy wordings directly with insurer underwriters, strengthening your market reputation and broadening your technical broking knowledge.
• Produce and issue accurate new business, renewal, and quotation documentation, giving you complete visibility and autonomy over each client file from initial enquiry to bind.
• Collaborate closely with broking colleagues and leadership to share market intelligence, providing you with an influential voice in shaping team processes as the division expands.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience selling or broking SME commercial general insurance within an insurance broker or branch environment.
• Proven track record of converting leads, managing high-volume enquiries, and achieving sales targets.
• Sound working knowledge of the UK general insurance market and e-trading platforms, with Acturis experience being advantageous.
• CII FIT or Cert CII qualification, or a clear commitment to undertaking professional insurance studies.
