School Caretaker (Sickness Cover) - SEN School

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to provide sickness cover within a welcoming SEN (Special Educational Needs) School based in the UB8 area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced caretaker or maintenance professional who enjoys working within a school environment and takes pride in keeping premises safe, secure, and well-maintained.

UB8 Area

£15.00 per hour

November Start - Ongoing Until Christmas (Potentially Longer)

Working Hours:

• Week 1: 7:00am - 3:00pm
• Week 2: 11:00am - 7:00pm
• Alternating weekly shift pattern.

Duties will include:

• Opening and securing the school site
• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs
• Health & safety checks across the premises
• Setting up rooms and facilities as required
• Monitoring contractors on site
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school

Requirements:

• Previous caretaker, maintenance, site assistant or facilities experience
• A hands-on approach with good DIY skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• Enhanced DBS preferred (or willingness to obtain one)
