The Role

As a Senior Accountant, you'll manage a varied portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted point of contact and ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting and advisory services. You'll work closely with business owners, helping them understand their financial performance and supporting them in achieving their business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of SME clients
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, VAT returns and tax compliance work
• Producing management accounts and financial reports
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Discussing financial performance, profitability and cash flow with clients
• Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional value through advisory services
• Ensuring client deadlines are met and service standards remain high

About You

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment
• Strong knowledge of accounts preparation, VAT and tax compliance
• Confident communicating financial information to clients
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
• Experience using cloud accounting software
