We are partnering with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Braintree that is looking to appoint an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior to join its collaborative and supportive team.

The Role

As an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior, you'll split your time between audit assignments and accounts preparation, working closely with Senior Accountants, Managers and Partners across a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Producing bookkeeping records and VAT returns
• Assisting with corporation tax computations and returns
• Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and obtain information
• Supporting senior team members on larger audit engagements
• Working with cloud accounting software including Xero and QuickBooks
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines

About You

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice
• AAT qualified or studying ACA/ACCA
• Experience preparing accounts and supporting audit assignments
• Good understanding of bookkeeping, VAT and accounts preparation
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop professionally
