School Caretaker - Llantrisant, Rhondda Cynon Taf

Pay: £15-£18 per hour, depending on experience | Full-Time | Start Date: 2nd November

Academics is recruiting a reliable and hands-on School Caretaker to work within a primary school in Llantrisant, starting on 2nd November.

This is a great opportunity for someone with practical maintenance skills who takes pride in keeping a school environment safe, clean and well-maintained. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the school premises are ready for pupils and staff each day.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

• Opening and locking up the school premises at the appropriate times.

• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs around the school.

• Ensuring the school buildings and grounds are safe, tidy and well-maintained.

• Completing elements of cleaning as required.

• Identifying maintenance issues and reporting any concerns.

• Supporting the day-to-day running of the school site.

• Helping maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Working Hours & Pay

• Location: Llantrisant, South Wales.

• Start date: 2nd November.

• Hours: 6:30am-9:30am and 2:30pm-5:30pm.

• Working pattern: Full-time, split shifts.

• Pay: £15-£18 per hour, depending on experience.

We're Looking For as a School Caretaker

• Previous caretaking, maintenance or facilities experience is desirable.

• Practical skills and confidence carrying out general maintenance repairs.

• A reliable, proactive and hands-on approach.

• The ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.

• A commitment to maintaining a safe environment within a primary school.

Previous experience working within a school setting would be advantageous.
