Events & Operations Coordinator - Temporary Assignment

Our client, a dynamic non-profit organisation based in Holborn, Central London, is seeking an experienced Events & Operations Coordinator to join their busy team for an initial 4-month assignment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the successful delivery of events and operational activities during a key period.

Location: Holborn, Central London (only a 5-minute walk from Holborn Station)
Hourly Rate: £18 - £21 per hour
Working Pattern: Full-Time, Office-Based

The Role
As the Events & Operations Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and delivery of a busy events programme while ensuring that day-to-day operational activities are managed with finesse. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams to create seamless experiences from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
Event Coordination

• Coordinate the planning and delivery of both internal and external events.
• Manage event logistics, including venues, suppliers, catering, and attendee communications.
• Prepare event schedules, briefing packs, and necessary documentation.
• Provide on-site event support and adeptly resolve issues as they arise.
• Ensure that all events are delivered on time and to a high standard.

Operations Support

• Assist with day-to-day operational and administrative activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
• Maintain event records, tracking documents, and reports.
• Aid in budget monitoring, invoice processing, and expense management.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in processes and ways of working.

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Serve as a key point of contact for suppliers, venues, and attendees.
• Communicate confidently with individuals at all levels.
• Deliver a professional and solutions-focused service consistently.

You Might Be a Great Fit If

• You have previous experience as an Events Coordinator, Events Executive, Operations Coordinator, or in a similar role.
• You possess proven experience supporting events from planning through to delivery.
• You demonstrate excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• You can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• You exhibit strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• You maintain a proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach.
• You are confident working independently and taking ownership of tasks.
• You have strong Microsoft Office skills.
