The Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing and improving advanced engineering products and systems.

Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you'll be responsible for creating practical, manufacturable designs that meet demanding performance, quality and reliability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical products and components using SolidWorks
• Produce detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Support new product development projects from concept through to production
• Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges
• Participate in prototype development, testing and validation
• Support design reviews and continuous improvement activities
• Work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing and project teams
• Ensure designs meet quality, cost and performance objectives

What We're Looking For

• Experience within a Mechanical Design Engineer or Mechanical Engineer role
• Strong SolidWorks CAD experience
• Ability to create detailed engineering drawings
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and design principles
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Desirable

• Product development or R&D experience
• Background within manufacturing, engineering, technology or industrial sectors
• Experience designing mechanical assemblies or engineered products
• Degree, HNC, HND or Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
