Senior Conveyancing Solicitor – Coventry

An established and well-respected law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Conveyancing Solicitor to lead its busy Conveyancing Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior residential property lawyer looking to combine fee-earning responsibilities with departmental leadership and strategic development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support a team of conveyancing fee earners and support staff
• Manage departmental workloads and resources to ensure matters progress efficiently
• Monitor team performance and support staff development through training and appraisals
• Handle a personal caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion
• Provide technical guidance on complex or high-value matters
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and quality standards, including SRA, CQS, AML, GDPR and lender panel requirements
• Conduct file reviews and support risk management and audit processes
• Develop and maintain relationships with referrers, professional contacts and clients
• Contribute to business planning, departmental growth and marketing initiatives
• Monitor financial performance, billing, work in progress and departmental profitability

About You

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive with significant residential conveyancing experience
• Previous experience supervising or managing a conveyancing team
• Strong technical knowledge of residential property law and conveyancing practice
• Excellent leadership, communication and client care skills
• Commercially aware with the ability to drive performance and profitability
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
