We have exclusively partnered with a market-leading specialist in electronics manufacturing in their search for a Senior Project Manager. Are you looking for an opportunity to own large, strategically important product-development programmes that shape revenue and profit for years ahead? Do you have a passion for bringing multi-discipline hardware (electronics, mechanics, acoustics and firmware/software) from concept through to production in a demanding, high-tech environment? If so, our client wants to hear from you! What’s on Offer? * Competitive salary * Company performance-related bonus * 27 days holiday + bank holidays * Private Medical Insurance (PMI) * Pension scheme with up to 8% matched contributions * Life Assurance & Employee Assistance Program * Early finish on Fridays Your Role as a Senior Project Manager: * Own large, strategically important engineering development projects end-to-end. From concept and requirements freeze through development, industrialisation, certification and into production. * Lead cross-functional matrix teams drawn from Project Management, R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Regulatory, acting as the single responsible contact point with no direct line reports. * Control project economy, including risk-factored EAC, cost, schedule, contingencies and budget protection, while presenting clear status (including risks and mitigations) to senior management and the CEO. * Work in lockstep with Product Managers to balance requirements against effort and complexity, challenging estimates, preventing scope creep and resolving issues before they become exceptions. * Drive projects in an agile environment while maintaining ownership of critical path, risk management and delivery to agreed scope, cost and time. * Harmonise metrics, reporting, methodologies and best practices across the PMO and support effective resourcing with the right skills at the right time. * Manage the customer interface, ensure roles and responsibilities are clear, and escalate with sound judgement when required. What We’re Looking For: * Graduate-level education (or equivalent apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3) in engineering (mechanical, electrical/electronic, aerospace or similar), with experience able to offset exact degree level. * Proven track record taking complex physical products from concept to production in a matrix environment, combining electronics, mechanics and firmware/software. * Experience delivering advanced device development projects to time, cost and scope, ideally in headsets, communications devices, RF, acoustics or similar electronic/firmware hardware. * APM, PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent qualification preferred, plus practical application of Agile methodology on product-engineering work. * Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the gravitas and robustness to hold a room with senior leaders, make decisions under pressure and lead through influence rather than authority. * Excellent communicator (written and verbal) at all levels, true team player with a results-driven, completer/finisher approach, and willingness for short international travel. * UK-based and able to work from the site. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leader in military and industrial solutions, where your work directly contributes to the successful delivery of innovative products that matter to the business. The role offers a planned handover with a Q1 2027 start. Ready to make an impact? Apply now
