Avencia are partnered with a global insurer who are looking to recruit an Underwriting Assistant within their London team.

This is an excellent junior opportunity for someone looking to develop their underwriting knowledge and gain exposure across specialty lines.

The role

• Take ownership of administrative tasks.
• Process data and keep information accurate across the team's systems.
• Pull together spreadsheets and presentation materials to support colleagues.
• Work closely with the wider team, helping wherever needed.
• Get to grips with the business and the technology it uses, including AI tools.

Skills & experience

• Good working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

• Confident using IT systems and learning new technology.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• An interest in specialty insurance.

• Insurance experience is beneficial but not essential.
