Finance Assistant

Bristol (Hybrid - 2/3 Days Onsite)
£200-250 per day (Umbrella)
Initial 2-Month Contract

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join a leading Bristol-based organisation during a busy period of growth and increased workload. This is a hands-on position supporting a busy finance function, with a focus on Accounts Payable, finance administration and payroll support.

Working closely with Finance, Payroll and wider business teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring financial processes are completed accurately and efficiently, while helping the team manage a high volume of activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Raise and manage purchase orders.
• Process employee expenses and assist with payment-related queries.
• Monitor and respond to queries within a shared finance inbox.
• Support payroll administration activities as required.
• Maintain accurate financial records, documentation and audit trails.
• Assist with reconciliations and general finance administration tasks.
• Provide day-to-day support to the wider finance team.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or similar finance support role.
• Strong experience processing invoices, managing purchase orders and handling expenses.
• Experience working within a busy finance environment and managing competing priorities.
• Confident dealing with supplier, employee and stakeholder queries.
• Payroll administration experience would be advantageous.
• Experience using finance, payroll or ERP systems.
• Workday experience would be highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
